Each journey from the sanctity of the far-flung wilderness begins with the crossing of this large expanse of water. Heading into the complex depths, this journey begins with a passage of commitment across the open, expansive lake aboard this fragile tram. Both exposed and vulnerable whilst at the same time striving for possibilities unknown, this crossing is more complex than its simple linear nature first suggests, it's a dichotomy fraught with an inner tension. The landscapes seen in the back of this scene are handmade from polystyrene, various modelling coatings and flockings, the land mass seen on the left of frame eventually adjoins to the bay seen in the Cove NFT. The tram itself was modelled on the old electric trams which can be found in Lisbon, re-imagined and made by hand by crafting balsa wood. The scan of the tram was done in 4 sections totalling over 6500 images for its digitisation.
